How New Fixed Scoring Works

New fixed scoring works exactly like the normal fixed scores (see that page to see how they're calced),
except that instead of applying the usual 'score by round' formula of (1 - 2 - 4 - 8 - 16 - 32) that's been in place since 2002,
the lower rounds are de-valued (1 - 2 - 4 - 7 - 10 - 14) so that making correct picks in the opening rounds actually matters!
