I mean, forget the stats... can Gordon really be weaker than Ansem?

Sure, why not? It's no more crazy then thinking Gordon can lose to Tina Armstrong, Max Payne and Sam Fisher. Even those three could have a hard time beating Ansem.

I don't think CjayC base the seeds on nominations. I think he base it how fun he thinks the bracket will be, which explains why Crono got a 4th seed in 2003 when Kirby got a 3rd seed.

Crono got a 4 for the sole purpose of setting up a rematch with Mario, seeding be damned. Of course, back then we all thought Kefka had a shot at not making it happen. This may still be our biggest collective ****-up to this day.

Regarding today's poll: DAMN THE DAY VOTERS TO HELL. Still, it's better than nothing... last time there was such a poll, it was, like, 70-30 IE. Will Firefox get ahead next time?

Same thing with the 3-seed, I'm sure. I almost bet Crono gets a 2-seed this year to continue his lil' trend here.

CJay DOES base seeds on nominations. He has said in the past that he only moves a character up or down 1/2 seeds in order to create matchups.

Want my source?

http://thengamer.com/gamefaqs/04Summer/04Summer-CJaySpeaks.txt

You stacked the brackets!

Duh. But not as much as you'd think. The seedings are accurate as to the number of nominations
a character got for the most part (with only 3-4 shifts up and down a seed or two, generally
to more accurately reflect the number of expected votes vs. organized efforts to get a
character into the bracket). Of course, I made sure to then arrange the seeds into brackets
where we should get some interesting (read: hard to call) match-ups all the way through the
tournament, and likely avoid a same-game/company final round.

There's a good chance we won't see Mario/Crono again. After last year's beating, and since Mario has had a major title released in the past year, there's no need to have it again.

Snake/Knux is stupid. Snake will always win by a comfortable margin. Get rid of it.

Kirby/Bomberman... meh, it's not that big of a deal. I don't expect BM to get anything higher than a 14 seed this year, and Kirby certainly won't get a 3 seed or higher.

GFNW... let it live!!

The Kirby/Bomberman thing has to continue until those two actually face each other in a match, most likely in Round 1.

And Freeman needs to continue to face beatable opponents in Round 1, but lose anyway. I mean...really, how do you lose to TINA, PAYNE AND FISHER?!

Hopefully the bracket will be up by the time I get home tonight. If it's not, I'll be very disappointed.

Also, The End is a damn unique boss battle. I like it. Unfortunately, I didn't do too well on my first crack at it. I found him asleep, accidentally fired with my sniper rifle which woke him up, and he got me with about three darts. I wasted about 10 minutes finding him, too. Ah well, I'll have a couple of hours to kill later.

"Chichi, you're a Konami fan, aren't you? <3"

I'm a fan of so many things. I love Konami's music games and I like Castlevania but I haven't played the Metal Gear Solid games (Played the original MG, though). But liking Konami doesn't stop me from likeing a lot of things from others... Nintendo, Capcom, SNK and Square all produce things I'll hump on sight as well.

But since the topic is Konami, buy Beatmania when it's released or die!

Zidane won't be fodder. I don't know why people think so. Sure, he won't be a powerhouse, but he's got enough to win a match.

Personally, I think he's got 53/47 first round loss to Knuckles written all over him. Since, you know, that's what Knux does, beating middle of the road FF characters.
