Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
http://sc2k5.com/drupal/node/11

Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

423 votes exactly. I have no idea how Warcraft suddenly turned it around after losing so many updates in a row.

I win! o_-

Anyway, I think GTA could easily overcome that lead, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Warcraft increase even more. Does anyone know exactly when the servers go down?

I have a feeling we'll be seeing a CjayC topic before the end of this match.

Why? He has no way of tracking extra votes if rallying has occured, seeing as how they will all come from different IPs.

And what's wrong with rallying anyways?

In this match so far, I doubt that one 40 vote addition is anything special. It seems as though both series have been acting odd all night.

Just because there may be rallying does not mean there is an absence of cheating. I would not be terribly surprised if CJayC did make a topic at the end of the match. You almost come to expect such things in controversial matches with Blizzard entries.

And what's wrong with rallying anyways?

I'm not going to start a whole argument, but I find it incredibly stupid.

A blue post is the Gfaqs equivalent of a CJayC post -- at the very least, even if someone doesn't post in the topic they will certainly view it.

The blue topic relating to the contest on the WoW forums is getting around 100 views per minute, to give you some sense of the scale of what's happening.
Tediz247 | Posted 7/11/2006 9:32:20 AM | message detail

Tuesday factor combined with the fact that a Blue posted in the official rally topic. Since the forum servers are down for logins, it effectively makes it a temporary sticky, and the Blue post marks it for people to read.

It just seems to violate the spirit of it; the idea that these are the most favored series of GameFAQs as a whole. Now obviously, it's unpreventable (and shouldn't be preventable either) and obviously spelled out in the rules. Still, that doesn't stop Ceej and others from being disapproving of third-parties like PGC and what-have-you.

Still, despite PGC's involvement, Mario/Cloud still goes down by many as the best contest match of all time...though that's in big part for other reasons, granted.
