Went back to the tally topic just to see how much influnce the board
had on the top & bottom seeds. Here's where they finished within
the topic. Snake - T11th Sonic - 15th Crono - T18th Sora - 26th CATS - 4th Captian Falcon - 6th Soma - T48th Tingle - T75 Samus - 1st Zelda - 3rd Tifa - 9th Yuna - 16th Carmen Sandiego - 6th Nidoran F - 7th Roll - T58th Ivy - T97th Only thing that could truly explain Tingle is prehaps the link that was put up during the LoZ/FF Final. --- Waiting for the bracket! |

My comments on what we know so far: Wow. I'm not surprised that Sora got a one seed post-KH2, but I'm shocked that Crono leapfrogged several characters, including Mega Man, to get one. It's nice to see Soma Cruz and Captain Falcon cracking the bracket. Those are a couple of decent 8 seeds. Yay for CATS returning once again, and lol Tingle. The top seeds on the female side of the bracket aren't that surprising. That's probably your final four right there, unless Ceej drops Aeris into Yuna's division to give us a proper final four. The bottom female seeds...well, Carmen, Ivy, and Roll are respectable entries, and lol Nidoran F. --- ALL YOUR VOTES ARE BELONG TO Z1mZum FOR ROCKING THE GURU WORLD |

Tingle is just a disgrace. Perhaps Frog, DK, Leon Kennedy, Kratos (ToS), or Liquid Snake get snubbed in favor of Tingle. C'mon... pathetic. Perhaps Frog, DK, Leon Kennedy, Kratos (ToS), or Liquid Snake get snubbed in favor of Tingle. I doubt most of those characters got snubbed in favor of Tingle. The only ones I see that have any chance of being snubbed are Kratos and Liquid. Frog has made himself a name in these contests the past two years. I doubt his popularity would just die off. DK is Nintendo and despite his performances, he's not getting snubbed. As for Leon, someone has to represent RE and I see him taking the crown from Jill. Not to say Jill won't make it but I think in future contests we'll be seeing more Leon and less Jill. --- "Not really. In return, I eat your soul. And I'm gonna go with a decent boost for Square from KH2 because of Sora being a #1 seed. So I might go against my gut and put Vincent and maybe even Squall over Bowser and the Dorf if such a match happens. As conservative as I usually am when it comes to making my bracket,
this time I'm actually leaning towards Sonic > Mega Man. Sonic
getting a #1 seed over Mega Man, Sonic having more hype with games on
all three next-gen systems compared to Mega Man's PSP and DS games, and
the Series contest (lol series =/= characters) are making me lean

Falcon has Nintendo+SSBM. That alone could potentially make him a
midcarder. And if any of the one seeds are taken out in the first

I am also one to be taking Sonic > Mega Man this year just of what
minor things Sonic has had in the past year. It seems to me that he's
going more reason to keep on increasing whereas Mega Man's got more
reason to remain stable, if not decrease slightly. With Sonic have Wild
Fire on the Wii and the next-gen game on the PS3/Xbox 360, I think he's
in good shape to pull out a small win. He doesn't really need any of
it, though, because of how close the match was last year. And the worst part is that the Zelda fans will probably help Tingle get 25% on whatever #1 seed he faces. I'm also rather surprised that Sora was able to manage a #1 seed. I
have only skimmed the topic -- right over the Ganon/Zelda argument,
too! -- but does anyone think that's any indication of what type of
boost Sora might get, or Square from KH2 as a whole? Not sure what the

that's like saying that Master Chief is showing signs of strength
because it got a 1 last year. Hmm. That's true. For what it's worth, this is a little bit different considering it's only four divisions and in a much more competitive 32 male field.
