On a slightly different note. Crono is NOT losing to Vincent next round if I have anything to say about it. You think I like Arthas and Hogger? there is no objective measure by which this contest is better than last
year's, unless you just hate joke characters and take some weird
excitement over seeing them lose. (to be fair, some of you seem to do

If Megaman loses here, there will only be 3 Noble Niners left who have
not lost to a non-noble character in the 4-way format: Sephiroth,

Last year was probably a bit better. Format was fresh and there were
more crazy matches, at least up to this point. Looks like the

There's just more matches I'm excited about. Specifically, I mean
Link/Mario/X/Zack, Samus/Crono/Vincent/Pikachu, and the upper
semifinal. Zack's run up to now has been fun, as has the war between

L-Block's run came at my favorites' expense more than anyone else's
(augh), but I can easily say that last year was clearly a better
contest than this in retrospect. So far, anyway. The only beef I really

"serious" matches can't compare to the L-Block buildup of last year.
that early vote was something amazing. L-Block sucked this year, not

L-Block electrified everyone last year, especially down the stretch. It
was like Obama's campaign rolled into two weeks. Love it, hate it, you
cared. Frog, Axel, Liquid, and Alucard also delivered a couple of
outstanding barn burners to keep the first round exciting as well as
unpredictable. Sadly, this contest has been pretty boring in
comparison. It's just gotten too unpredictable to invest much care

even the close matches feel rather boring. the buildup is good, but the

Nah, I prefer serious matches by far to L-Block's run last year. While
it was great for Link to lose for once, the fact that a joke was doing
it just made the contest seem....like a joke, I guess. There were very
few serious matches between elites to get excited about last year:
Sephiroth beat down Mario for the 3rd time, Samus beat Megaman easily
twice, Link beat Sephiroth without trouble with Mario and Vincent in
the poll, Snake and Sonic had no real matches against Noble Niners
thanks to L-Block, and Link and Cloud never got to properly fight each
other. Crono and Vincent did have an exciting match, but I was very

fine by me. none of the matches you mentioned would have been
interesting anyway. a normal contest would have had Sonic/Master

Cube appears to be gaining steadily now. I'll call the match and hope

Eh, you'd have to assume a "normal" contest would change up the bracket
some. Not to mention we've got at least two trios that there's a lot of
debate over in Sonic/Crono/Mega Man and Snake/Mario/Samus (sure, Samus
isn't beating Mario, but there's an argument to be made that she could
beat Snake where Mario couldn't). Plus, it would've been nice to see

kinda surprised MM is still in this match actually. Was expecting a

MM's got this, no way he loses man. I might not be in the bes state to

character that has produces the sec ond most fun in games (second to
