Metroid broke 21% on SMB3 back in the day. I can see Zelda getting
anywhere from 75-85% on it tomorrow (either a bit less than Mario 3 or
equaling its destructive performance in the series contest). Contra
should do better (got 30% on FF in 2004), and DWIII should be another

just a heads up not to underestimate dw3... if we're putting it at
Phantasy star level, phantasy star was about equal to duck hunt/dk last

Final Fantasy was in that poll (which DW really doesn't want to meet),
and DWIII > DW, and despite those two things DW wasn't far off from

I have little faith in obscure RPGs (which DW is on this site, even if
its fans won't admit it). We've seen non-FF characters and games bomb

Yeah, I don't expect DWIII to be in competition for second tomorrow,
unless Zelda just really wrecks the poll, but it should still be able

I highly doubt it. You say DW3 = Phantasy Star, but I disagree.
Phantasy Star had the distinction of being the only RPG series on an
RPG lacking system whereas DW3 had to compete with Final Fantasy. Ninja

Phantasy Star was also on a system like nobody had. Nights was the best
saturn game, but it still sucked ass in the poll since nobody here has

Like I said before- DW is the only only NON nintendo RPG game here and there are quite a few nintendonts out there that would love to vote against link. I think Contra will eat up some of that, but many RPG fans who later became FF fans grew up on the early final fantasies and DW... personally DW III was the first non-computer RPG I played. So even though I loved the original Zelda, I like voting for the underdog when my fav is a clear winner... The same RPG people that let Kefka lose to Duke Nukem? If it doesn't have the words "Final" or "Fantasy" in it, it isn't worth anything. Hell, even with Final Fantasy you get plenty of turbofodder (cast of FF6, cast of FF4, Kuja losing to Master Hand). Oh wait, contest noobie, right. playing these contest for a couple years and usually stay silent. The
wealth of knowledge you and the other regulars has here is astounding
and I didnt want to spoil the good rhetoric. Anywho- look at me getting caught up in your poke... I still think DW is going to lose... I just like to debate that it has chance for underdog for 2nd. Oh, great, now we have to expand our super-elite clique..... =P If Metroid happens to advance tomorrow, is there any chance NG could steal third place over it in SMB/LoZ/Metroid/NG? Metroid WILL be killed there if LoZ doesn't finish it off first, and NG will stand out.
