Yeah, after thinking it over some more, Sonic/Kirby could still go Kirby's way pretty easily. Kirby's beating Vivi worse than Auron beat Zero, and Zero barely beat Vivi in 2008. Considering Auron got ~54% on Sonic that year, Kirby's got room to spare to help fend off Sonic's regained strength (which will lack his support in Europe).

It's just really hard to imagine Kirby beating Ganon by this much, especially since Zelda beat Vivi worse than this in 2005.

If LttP Bacondorf is as bad as Zelda 1 Bacondorf, Sonic gets just shy of 54% in a fair match. If that is the case and Vivi gets 46.26% on Kirby and Kirby = Sonic, the following are true:

Ganondorf beats Rikku and Vivi with about 54%.
Mewtwo > Altair > DK > Lightning and they're all very close.
Ken and Wesker beat GLaDOS and Liquid by a little.

Is that possible? I guess. But I doubt it.

Sonic probably still wins with 53-55% in a completely fair match. I don't think Kirby would ever match that. He'd be lucky to beat Ganondorf at all.

I'd take Zero, but it wouldn't be a blow-out...and Auron would SFF Rikku to Hades, though I get what you're saying.

Just saying, those are numbers directly from this contest and the last one and it hadn't been brought up yet. I'm still taking Sonic, but Kirby's got an argument there until the Vivi/Zero match is able to be fairly disregarded.

Fraud's a bit of a strong word. 47.5% on Vincent in 2006 was pretty good. He's never been a Noble Nine breaker though, but neither has Kirby. I'd wager Kirby has probably been a bigger "fraud" than Ganondorf has been. He has these amazing performances every now and then that seem to balance out his not-so-impressive performances.

Actually, Kirby's a weird one. He's never shown Noble Nine-breaking strength...until suddenly, in his first ever match against a Noble Niner (actually, two of them), he beat one. Of course, it's not like he was losing to scrubs, either--his five 1v1 losses were to Jill, Alucard, Squall, Bowser, and Luigi, and the most lopsided was when Squall just barely managed to break 55% on him. (Actually, his eventual eliminations in the four-ways were probably more lopsided, but 2007 he was being LFFed and was up against L-Block, and in 2008 he made it so far that he got stuck with three NNers). It seems that in spite of him being in every contest, Kirby is still largely a mystery. Up until 2007, maybe even the early rounds of 2008, he looked like nothing more than a second-tier midcarder--he'll finish in the top half of the x-stats, but never really threaten. Then round 3 came and was the perfect storm, and maybe he built up a bandwagon or something, but he just started beasting.

...Besides, how can you not like Kirby? He's so damn cute! <(^-^)>

Yes, Zero/Vivi was a close match. As for Rikku, that was a night match and this is a day match. Kirby's got one of the best day votes around while Rikku and Vivi are both night characters.

Kirby's got one of the best day votes around while Rikku and Vivi are both night characters.

Actually, looking at Kirby's charts, his ASV isn't much better than his morning vote. Sure, he probably does a decent bit better than Rikku in a 24 hour match or a day match, but his ASV definitely isn't Kingdom Hearts or Master Chief caliber. It'd be close enough for Rikku and Vivi to be debatable, which I think is fine since some people think Tidus/Rikku is debatable as well.

I don't think I'd take Vivi to beat Zero though. I think Zero just had an off year last year.

Though I'm more impressed by his percentages in Cali and New York, since people actually live there.

Excellent performance by Kirby. I'd be shocked if he didn't at least outdo Bacon on Sonic after this (I'm thinking 46-47%).

Congrats to Krahenprophet for his well-deserved victory.

Kirby won't even come close to Sonic. Not only is Sonic better during the day than Kirby he's just straight up stronger in every way. How you guys get so deluded by 4 ways i'll never understand.

At least i can laugh when Sonic curb stamps Kirby. just remember Luigi beat Kirby and Sonic 60 - 40ed him.
