Now
I realize how silly it was for to bank on Batman vs TF2, but I guess
with 12k, I didn't want to risk the a slight chance of TF2 taking it. But now I don't bank until GS vs SA, which is incidentally the next match to decide whether or not I'm still in the Guru. --- http://thengamer.com/guru/bracket.php?id=207 |

I'm
kind of surprised Bacon and some other guys on the leaderboard banked
on Halo 3/Halo 1 because I thought I was going to be the only one.

This
really just comes down to the trends. If it was a day match, I would
support ToS. It's a night match, so I have to go with GoW. Except in that 4-way match, GoW was beating ToS until the night vote rolled around, which either means ToS is better at night, or GoW is better during the day. wouldn't be surprised with the SF4 hype that was all over the boards
for the last couple days. I almost banked, myself. But after reading
the official analysis on the match, I decided to stick with my original

sense to me: if you think there are two consecutive matches where
you'll be taking a big risk, it's much more sensible to bank at the
first one than risk everything for a small gain by banking at the

1 and SF IV are way too different.Listen when in a series all games are
good the people will go with either the original or the one that really
got the series going.That is why nobody would had Uncharted
1>Uncharted 2 because it is the 2nd game that got the series

We had that for fourways >_> Anyway yeah, Halo 3 was never going to win this and this is the first time we've seen an earlier game in a series have a big advantage. You know what that means.... main crux of my argument was "Xbox 360 > Xbox original". I'll just
have to come up with a bunch of new arguments when we get around to

And, why is everyone predicting Okami with 60+% tomorrow? Shouldn't Demon's Souls beat NMH with great ease? Mega Man 9 is not that strong, and I would probably take NMH over Demon's Souls. would take Crisis Core to beat Gears 2, but FF12 barely pulled a 55/45
on what should have been a heavy SFF match in its favor, while Portal
more than doubled its competition. I don't think it's going to be a
blowout (I don't think we'll see this go 60/40 or anything like that),

sorry. That was not a rSFF match. If anything, this contest has proven
that name power alone isn't enough to win a match. I could see a very
small number of votes going to CC, especially in cases where people
disliked 12 but hadn't played CC, or they hadn't played either but
recognized the FF7 name. But in a match like this where you have a
lukewarm handheld spinoff (don't kid yourself, the reception to CC was
fairly lukewarm) against a mainline console title (even one with mixed
reception) within the same franchise, anything less than 60/40 is
pathetic and only underlines the weakness of the favored game in future

the record, I'm not saying FF12 > Portal COULDN'T happen. Afterall,
it's a night match, and Portal is still a slip of a game. But anyone
who ignores that the facts point to Portal being the favorite in that
