Honestly, this might have been an even more shocking beatdown than Cloud/Sonic. The final between Cloud/Sephiroth was basically as close to a 50/50 split in the Oracle as it gets because of those two matches (Sephiroth was actually the Oracle favorite in the final with 50.01%).

Adjusting Fallout 3 down 5% on Brawl makes the GOTD 1 stats more sensible to me. Amazingly enough by that token Mario Sunshine is still extrapolated to just barely beat Modern Warfare 2, imagine what an upset that would've been!

Wow people actually like playing silent protags? Having a voice brings a lot more life to the character. Look how crap Claude was compared to Tommy and CJ or Yu Narukami was from P4 to the spin offs.

Half of the Noble Niners are (for the most part) silent protagonists so this shouldn't come as a surprise!

I'm fine either way with silent protagonists. It depends on the game and how they write around their silence. Some silent protagonists have a lot of personality, tbh. Not every character needs to be super complex.

It depends on the type of game for me, like Fallout 4 sucked ass compared to 3 and NV because your guy just HAD to talk out loud. I get that the Lone Wanderer/Courier technically "spoke" thru dialogue choices but because they were just typed out there was a lot more variety in what could be said in certain situations.

@shane15 Think is Gamefaqs became popular and mainstream because some wrote an awesome Faq for FF7 back in 1997 and a lot of people came to this site and of course they were FF fans. Remember back then most people didn't even knew what Internet was.
Of course as time passed and so many sites came out nobody cares for faqs here, but I still use them regularly to tell the truth.
