Keep
in mind that Mega Man went 50/50 with Pikachu twice while Snake went
50/50 with Zelda and stomped Sonic. It would probably be 55/45 or so. |
As
of last character battle, Snake beat Sonic worse than Crono and Pikachu
(both all but equal to Mega Man) beat Bowser and Yoshi. I don’t have
much respect for Sonic’s strength but Bowser/Yoshi > Sonic isn’t very
likely. And while Snake has declined a lot and may continue to do so, while three ways and 2013’s general wonkiness make it hard to judge precisely, Mega Man 2018 had probably declined too; at the very least he didn’t meet some of the higher expectations of him. He seemed stronger in 2013 when people were excited about his Smash announcement, hyped about Mighty No. 9, and angry at Capcom than 2018 when the first two of those projects actually came to fruition and Capcom made another real Mega Man game. Admittedly
I was going off of Snake getting destroyed by Samus, and Mega Man's
franchise being in better health than Snake's. Yeah Snake should win

Darn you 2006 Although that one feels a bit easier to explain than 2018, which makes no sense unless Samus is the #2 character by a sizable margin and the Mario rSFF is just THAT bad. |

Tifa is SFFing her. 1-on-1, Aerith was already stronger than Vincent in
2018 and outperformed Squall on Zelda too. 2018 Aerith wouldn’t need

To
be fair, Aerith went from 35% on Vincent head-to-head in 2019 to 44%
here! That level of relative increase is like if Yoshi just started
beating on Snake all of a sudden. azuarc is quite good at predicting GameFAQs bracket battles. |
Tifa is getting a nice bump, too. Makes me wonder how many NNers she could beat. |

at all. Also, most of Tifa's and Aerith's gains have been at Vincent's
and Cid's expense. |

was never a fan of Aeris in the original, but something about her in
the remake was way more endearing. Not sure if it was the voice acting

I'm just amazed that someone was able to update BT's programming with an event that happened in 2018! Azuarc is my favorite arc of the Game of the Decade 2020 anime. |

GameFAQs largely serves up text based content and has a low staff count. So our running costs should pretty low. Like the entirely of content on the message board is measured in GBs which is nothing these days. We get a lot of traffic so I imagine we're profitable and worth keeping around. Although, I guess a potential danger is the new owners decide the GameFAQs content should just be fully merged into GameSpot or something like that rather than being some weird subsection.
