Game of Thrones was good because it was such a close adaptation to the books compared to most adaptations out there. The changes in Netflix's Death Note were awful. sure, there can be bad changes. But change isn’t inherently bad. Sometimes stuff in the source material just doesn’t translate well to another medium. Even Game of Thrones aged up its characters, but for some reason no seems to complain about HBO not having a 9 year-old Arya. For your Azuarc . Because
they all want to add their own spin to it. I mean look at RE. Okay the
new RE movie that will come out soon. When it first was announced the
director said that he will be extremely faithfull to the games. Fine.
BUT when the first info came out a few days ago and things were
different like that Leon is and Indian and Lisa is the same age as
Claire and stuff like that the director said well I don't want to be
exactly as the games. Right. Anyways for One Piece. I predict this since it will be on origin. Sanji will be toned down a lot. No way we can have a guy leering on beautiful women. Usopp will be a Black guy. Nami will be a Lesbian. Zoro will be an Asian. Luffy will stay mostly the same since he is the main guy. So why we exist? What happens when we stop existing? Usopp is African, Zoro is Japanese, and Luffy is Brazilian so I expect

When you jump from animation to live action there's just so much that doesn't come across the same. You just can't depict things the exact same way, even if you try it'll come across differently. CG can look pretty bad if its not done right. Is Luffy going to blow up like a balloon? Even something like just punching very fast can look dumb af in live action. |

That's a good point, but I still think they can work around some of those details if they're creative enough, like how they made Scott Pilgrim vs. The World an extraordinary live-action adaptation by not taking itself too seriously while simultaneously adding lots of stylish details. And I'm talking about a MUCH more complex adaptation there. Like Safer said with the RE movie, they have one very simple job by choosing the right cast and respecting the game canons and they can't even do that right. azuarc - Good friend, VGM lover, Guru Champion. has never finished above 80% playrate as far as I can tell from
previous polls. I imagine this is the Remake effect, as well as the game
becoming widely available on modern platforms. |

Rool got in on the strength of Ultimate last time and almost beat
Shepard! He'll be much weaker if he gets back in just because the hype

Feel free to rank them in order of presumed contest strength: These guys all look weak af. Doomguy and maybe Pyra and Steve could have some strength thanks to Smash, but everyone else looks awful. Also, the Tales crowd will almost certainly push somebody from Arise in, same for the FE crowd with Three Houses (one of the lords/Byleth). was about to comment on how OoT is barely winning its match, and then I
realized it's up against Skyrim R1??? This seeding's pretty whack. I'm
not sure what the favorite to win is, though I'd expect Skyrim to be one
