B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's extrapolated percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

I'm upset it's typo'd as Sliver as opposed to Silver.

Melee gets SFFed this badly by SNES Nintendo huh

This reads more to me like Ultimate is definitively more popular than Melee, something that no other Smash really did, so Melee is suffering the 'outdated Smash' drop.

I think this poll proves Wind Waker loses to Pokemon Gold/Silver.

This poll proves GSC wins Game of the Decade

Either Melee is much weaker now, or these polls are useless. Probably a bit of both.

Wow. LttP's beatdown of those caliber of elite games makes me wonder if in the next contest the strongest three games are all gonna be Zelda.

Yeah, I know lol using Poll of the Day to determine anything, but big swings between the same poll can be meaningful, like Chun-Li steadily improving in the 12-way Street Fighter poll pointing to her boosting (and based on the most recent one, she has the potential to do a lot of damage next time) and the 'when creating a custom character, what gender do you play as' one pointing hard towards female characters being played far more leading up to 2018.

The GameCube poll points to a decent Melee drop, and while today's is brand new, this is...not exactly an inspiring Melee performance.

Just wanna recognize LFF is so strong for Sonic 2 as the only non-Nintendo game here today that it looks like it can compete with Melee.

Although this is also an additional indictment on Melee.

I really wanna see the outcome of this SMW vs. GSC fight for second place.

Well, I imagine Sonic 2 is suffering a bit as well since we saw Mario World lay the smack down on it in 2004.

But we're seeing Pokemon continue to resist SFF well, so I don't know that I'd take G/S/C to beat Melee just yet, although they faced each other in 2015 and it wasn't a blowout even with Melee rallying.

Also I am sad DKC2 can't even beat Ruby/Sapphire in these conditions

Pokemon's relative resistance to SFF is on display here, but Pokemon GS does have to contend with Pokemon RS so it isn't totally unscathed.

Poor Smash 4.

I hope we have more polls like this but for other days.

Are there any other notable video game release dates?

Does there have to be? Any day is a good day. Some might just be more foddery than others.

I do imagine October-December may be a bit more loaded than other months though.

I'm just talking about release dates for games that would actually be in a contest, like Mario 3 or Brawl or something like that.

Is there a significant meaning to Nintendo for Nov 21st? All these big games released on the same date can't be a coincidence.

These are the Japanese release dates for these games, so looking at their calendar, there's a holiday on Nov 23rd (Labor Thanksgiving Day) so maybe that has something to do with it?

Metroid Prime and Mario Galaxy were also November releases IIRC.

Advance Wars for the Game Boy Advance was released on September 10, 2001.

In two days, we have Final Fantasy IV, Ocarina of Time, World of Warcraft, DKC3, Animal Crossing: Wild World, and uh, Shenmue II, I guess.

Just picking May 21st to see what comes up if we did six months ago today:

2021: Knockout City
2019: Slay the Spire (PS4)
2013: Resident Evil Revelations (PC/Wii U)

...and it's at this point that my convenient resource ran out of gas. Is there an easy place to go to see a day of the year and then see what games were released on that day over the years? Don't see it on this site or others in any long-term sense.

It will be a surprising outcome if it fails to break 60. If I had to oracle, I'd say it breaks 70%.

Gold/Silver is only doing well because there's a lot of LFF among the other non-Pokemon Nintendo games. It wouldn't normally beat Mario World in a 1v1 match. There's not much to be gained out of this mess of a poll that has a lot of LFF and SFF going on.

Yes it definitely doesn't beat SMW in a 1v1 scenario. I'd still expect a solid 45+ % against it though.
