Yeah, the window has closed on a Lady D contest win, but she could make it past a fourpack or so with favorable bracket placement.

Lady D would need a TJF pic and a fodder opponent to win anything.

You have to expect she's weaker than Wesker and Nemesis, who never did much to begin with.

Would Lady D beat Luca Blight? Sure. Would she put up a respectable showing against Lloyd or Ocelot? Unlikely.

I kind of feel it's a "Remember L-Block/Draven/Undertale? Boy, you ain't seen anything yet lmao." kind of deal, and I'm not convinced it'd be a one and done situation like L-Block and Draven were.

The Among Us characters are probably the best shot for a meme rally. So long as the game still has some popularity by the time we ever get a contest, I could see it. Though that's the exact sort of thing that would be fodder as f*** with our aging userbase, so there is no chance it would win any match whatsoever without extreme favorable bracket placement.

Among Us guy likely gets put up against Link by SBAllen to snuff out any rally potential. I can see it putting up Tanner-like numbers against Link.

Edit: That is if people even care to waste a nomination spot for it. My bet is it doesn't even get in the bracket.

There's enough people that will put forth a nomination slot for characters that have a chance at meme rallies. Draven and sans got decent spots in the last character battle after all.

Though the nomination system does present something of a problem here, as there are multiple ways to nominate the avatars of that game. They are called Characters, but could also be nominated as Crewmates, Imposters, or even Among Us or Amogus. I would laugh if all the different names for these avatars split the noms enough that they miss out.

Memes for games come and go, I'm surprised at how much staying power Among Us seems to be having since people found out about the game. It was a forgotten game before several popular streamers tried it out. Sus still gets used as a word a lot. I think enough people could put together enough nominations, although you're right that there's no consistent name for the characters in the game.

It's not even the best outer space mafia-style game out there. The Jackbox game Push the Button is a better game.

I'm not stressed about the Among Us cast. I think naturally they could be a little stronger than Draven but wouldn't be as naturally strong as Sans...and neither are much to write home about strength-wise, but more to the point I just think the meme-aspect has passed and they weren't as memable in a rallying kind of way with a contest. Memable for memes! Just feels like a different energy for getting the votes.

I do see people of multiple ages -- mostly younger people -- wearing their shirts so I could be wrong, but it's not the rallying kind of energy I imagine it takes to pull real upsets here.

I doubt you could get rabid Among Us fans to care about this site

Some Genshin meme. Genshin's is the most talked about game on Twitter and it also has the most active gaming subreddit, so they could easily take over our contest if they cared to.

I like how the PotD assumes a person only has enough time to be playing one MMORPG at a time.

I've never played a traditional MMO, but I'm unsure if something like Genshin Impact counts.

I always forget about the day/night feature of that contest

It was such garbage. We were robbed of so many good things.

Let the record show that I was ahead of the curve of being against 12-hour matches

All the contests have their own issues that affect results. 4-ways have LFF, 12-hour matches have day/night splits, multiple matches per days leads to rally spillover, etc.
