Would
votals be worse than last time if the contest was finally not front
page only? I feel life if it shows up on all the answers page and stuff

SBAallen left? Wow. Damn. Also so strange that the last contest was in the start of the pandemic, one of the biggest worldwide events ever... But still I would like to see 2 more. One with characters and one with games. Also I was watching a Youtube video about something and the Youtuber that made it said something like <In the past, in the early 2000's when Gamefaqs was probably the biggest place for gaming FF7 reigned supreme and even won some of the contests that did there.> .And yeah it was the truth. Well in the Interent times moves much faster. I remember a while ago when Wish was the site to get free stuff and now it barely exists... So why we exist? What happens when we stop existing? |

I had Mario 3 winning it all because I thought it was generally agreed that it was one of (if not the) the best games ever. think this was the first contest I participated in. I knew almost
nothing about GameFAQs except that it really liked Final Fantasy and
that Cloud had won the recent contest (defeating Link, HOW DARE). Pretty
sure I took Final Fantasy 1 to take home the crown because 'it'll be a
stand-in for the entire series'. It's Reyn Time. |

is probably one of the most consistently entertaining contest entrants,
whether the character or one of his games. Routinely creates fun

match is particularly memorable for me because I had stopped following
it for a while and then a real life friend called me excited about what
was happening which got me to look at the match again. Perhaps
unsurprisingly all of my real life friends have fallen out of GameFAQs

I wonder how many votes outside of America it actually got, and how many of them weren't from Americans living in those countries. |

In the the second or third hour of the match (not the Power Hour) the two games went 50/50, but in the last hours of the match Contra was pulling hours in the high 60's. I remember coming up with all these conspiracy theories at the time because there were a bunch of matches that huge vote shifts like this, where one game kept doing better and better as the day went on. I realize in hindsight that all the matches in question involved games that were much less popular in Europe, so what we were seeing was just Geolocation results, but at the time I though I was close to being able to prove that Starcraft was cheating, and these were all of the practice matches. DKC2 is the one that gets featured in the favorite SNES polls, and we have a few for DKC as a series, but none with just the original game. |

I wouldn't think DKC1 and 2 would be very far from each other. Actually first one is probably stronger based on 2009 but maybe indirectly it would go differently. Yeah, the exaggerated trend shifts were the product of starting the poll at 3 AM ET. You get a much weaker Power Hour as much of North America is already asleep but that North America vote that's missing from the Power Hour will come in over the course of the next day. As far as the biggest trend shift goes, excluding jokes, post-2013 rallies, and L-Block......probably Donkey Kong/Duck Hunt?
